I've been thinking...
That is, thinking "like a designer". And probably for longer than I even realize. I enjoyed drawing as a kid and often the subjects of my pen were logos that I would attempt to recreate. If you were to look at my sketchbooks from those days, the iconic Superman S shield, Nike swish, and Calvin Klein "little-c big-K" logo would all be prominent features (this was the 90s). I didn't think much of it at the time-they seemed like perfectly logical subjects-however I now see it was foreshadowing a fondness of branding that would follow.
I discovered Photoshop in high school, and I would happily spend hours perfecting a computer wallpaper featuring characters from my favorite shows. Translation: I was a nerd. It was a hobby born from passion and a desire to contribute something beautiful and practical to the real world.
Something I am still passionate about.
That desire led me to a formal education in design and has given me lots of opportunities to work alongside some incredibly talented creative professionals over the years. There is nothing that I'd rather do than solve creative challenges and I'm so delighted that I get to do what I love!
